Steven Dwayne Gravley

Steven Gravley, 56 of Statesboro, GA passed away surrounded by family at Ogeechee Area Hospice, Friday September 29, 2023.

He retired from Statesboro Police Department after 20 years of service. He enjoyed serving as the resource officer for Statesboro High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Statesboro. Steven enjoyed fishing, was an avid football fan, especially high school football.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Gravley; his daughters, Sara Jean Gravley of Statesboro, GA, Lisa Nicole Gravley of Statesboro, GA; his sons, Christopher Steven Gravley of Martinsville, VA, Ezra Gravley of Jonesboro, AK, Paul Andrew Gravley of Statesboro, GA; his step father, Jesse Shuman of Hillsville, VA; his sisters, Karen Horton of Mt. Airy, NC, Wendy Staples of Hillsville, VA.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5:00-7:00pm at Deal Funeral Directors in Statesboro, GA.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday October 21, 2023, at 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Statesboro. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
