April Whitehurst Elliott

Statesboro, GA

April Whitehurst Elliott, age 40, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 5, 2021. She was a native and longtime resident of Bulloch County. April enjoyed watching movies, music, arts and crafts, and spending time on Facebook. She also loved making jewelry and was the owner and designer at Little Bluebird Studios. April spent many years in the restaurant business working at McAllister’s, Crabby Joes, Starbucks and was the catering manager at Emma's.. She was a longtime member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church but most recently had been attending Connection Church. April was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Jones Whitehurst; her grandparents, Amos and Eugenia Jones and Allene Malphrus and Solomon Whitehurst, Sr.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Evelyn Elizabeth “Evie” Elliott; her father, Solomon L. Whitehurst, Jr.; two brothers, Lee Whitehurst of Statesboro and  Jim Myrick of Wilmington Island, GA; two sisters, Ansley Whitehurst of Statesboro, Delaine “Laine” Beals of Kannapolis, NC;  and a very special  friend, Billy Kent of Statesboro.

Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Deal Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Directors with Rev. Greg Abercrombie officiating.

Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
