Statesboro, Ga.
Mrs. Carolyn H. Penman, age 81, passed away early Saturday at Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness. She was a native of Long Island New York and had lived in Statesboro for the last eight years. Mrs. Penman attended St. Mathew’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed going on cruises with her husband and had been on more than thirty cruises during their marriage.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, John Penman of Statesboro; two daughters, Sharon Ann (Michael) Simmons of Thomasville, Ga. and Jennifer (Matthew) Bond of Statesboro, Ga; two grandchildren, Miriam Simmons and Jason Simmons.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Director’s with Father Douglas Clark officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute, 4700 Waters Ave., Savannah, GA 31404.
