Darrol Wayne Brazil, a beloved husband for 43 years, a devoted Daddy, and an amazing Pawpaw. He was a true southern gentleman who would give anyone the shirt off of his back. As a Veteran of the Marine Corp, he was proud to have served his country and would have re-enlisted in a heartbeat. He was a man who worked hard all of his life and his hands showed it. He was a gunsmith and an avid gun collector. He wasn’t scared of anything and if you messed with his family, you better brace yourself, the storm was coming. Everybody knew him by his big truck and cowboy hat. After “retiring” from Southern Company after 45 years of dedicated service, he began volunteering with Bulloch County Fire Department Station 9. He loved hanging out with the guys at the fire station. He always had his radio on no matter what he was doing, when a call came out he was ready to go. Sometimes he had his radio on a little too loud, but he wasn’t going to miss a fire call.
To my wife,
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know. If I could give you one thing in life I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then would you realize how special you are to me. You are my sunshine.
To my daughters,
I have made and continue to make mistakes. I’m not perfect. I won’t always give you your way, but I love you with everything I have. I have worked hard my entire life to be able to provide you the best possible. I hope and pray that I have instilled in you the same life lessons that you can pass on to your children. I am such a blessed man to have such wonderful daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren.
