David Evan Braddy, age 67, of Statesboro, GA, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2021 at Ogeechee Area Hospice after a brief illness.
David was a graduate of the Statesboro High School class of 1972. After graduation, he served in the United States Army National Guard. He retired from ITT Grinnell after 20 years of service. He was also involved in the operations of Jay Bird Springs in Chauncey, GA, which he loved.
His greatest hobby was photography, and he worked as a freelance photographer through the years. He loved Georgia Southern football, NASCAR, and music – especially the Oak Ridge Boys.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Hugh and Margaret Braddy, a daughter; Lindsey Braddy Strother; and a brother, Randy Braddy.
He is survived by his daughter; Kimberly Braddy White (Brian); brother Rick Braddy (Sharon); brother Roger Dale Braddy (Theresa); sister, Cathy Braddy Deal (Ken); his grandchildren – Deborah, David and Jacob Dudley, Madelyn Moore, and Andrew and Lily Strother, along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4th at 11:00 AM at the Braddy Cemetery in Ailey, GA.
Deal Funeral Directors will oversee all arrangements.
