Donald Earnest Streetman, 78, of Statesboro, Georgia died in his home on November 16th 2022. He was the third of four children born on February 15th, 1944 to Earnest Streetman and Ruth Brown Streetman in Kissimmee, Florida.
Don is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably in the Army as a medic. He was in the 9th infantry and during his service he earned a Purple Heart and a Combat Medical Badge.
After returning home from the military, Don attended Orlando Junior College and eventually became a graduate of the University of Florida where he pursued a career as a physical therapist. For over 30 years Don traveled all over southeast Georgia visiting numerous nursing homes and rehabilitation centers providing care for those in need.
Don had a passion for nature and wildlife. He loved watching things grow and thrive naturally. He enjoyed the mountains, hiking and exploring new places. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He traversed the United States traveling as far west as the Grand Canyon and as far north as Nova Scotia on his motorcycles. All in all, he officially logged 700,000 miles exclusively on BMW motorcycles, but unofficially this number easily exceeded one million miles all on two wheels.
Don is predeceased by his parents and younger brother Gary. He is survived by his Wife Barbara Jentz Streetman, his children. Angie, Nathan, David, Dale and Darin, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his siblings Phil Streetman (Carolyn) and Jan Paul (Colvin)
At family's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
