Doris A Stephens

Doris Aspinwall Stephens, age 77, passed away April 1, 2021 after an extended illness. Doris was one of ten children born to Joe and Nora Carter Aspinwall in Wayne County, Georgia. However, she lived more than forty-five in Bulloch County where she made many friends and loved ones before moving back to Wayne County about ten years ago.

Doris is preceded in death by her first husband, Harry “Ray” Stephens and her daughter, Angela “Angie” Stephens Bird.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Wiley; her siblings, Vernon Aspinwall (Vivian) of Jesup, Bernice Aspinwall (Judy) of Jesup, Helen Scarborough (Carl, Sr.) of Odum, Varney Aspinwall (Floy) of Rincon, Joe Aspinwall, Aldean Kay of Jesup, Eloise Freeman of Jesup, Allene Nevil of Statesboro and Audrey Flowers (Wayne) of Jesup; two granddaughters and a great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Varney Aspinwall officiating.
