Earl Anthony Fail, Jr., age 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 4, 2022. Anthony was born on December 28, 1951 in Guyton, Georgia to the late Earl Anthony Fail and Evelyn Ida Robbins Fail. He lived most of his life in Bulloch County, graduating from Southeast Bulloch High.
Anthony wasn’t afraid of work and was employed with Cooper Wiss from the day it was opened until the day it closed. He also retired from Walmart where the folks there called him “Earl”. But Anthony had a life outside of work. Pond and river fishing were activities he loved best but watching the Braves was a close second. However, nothing could compare to the love he had for his family. While he never had children of his own, he loved all the family kids as if they were his own. And the family gatherings that Anthony loved were never complete until he said “Grab you a Pepsi or Mountain Dew out of my cooler.”
Anthony is preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Hodges and Donna Mangrum; and his brother, David Fail.
He is survived by his sister, Ann Taylor (Ed); his brothers, Winton Fail (Marian), James Fail (Terry), and Clate Fail (Glenda); his brother-in-law, David Hodges; and a host of nieces and nephews that love him and will miss him greatly.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Monday, November 7th at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Directors with Elder Jake Futch officiating.
