Lee Alburn Davis, Sr., age 86 passed away Thursday, February 4th, at home under the care of Regency Southern Care Hospice and his son, Lee Jr.
He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Lee was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He graduated in 1978 from Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri.
He later pastored Grace Bible Baptist Church in Sylvania, Georgia and Elmer Baptist Church in Statesboro, Georgia for a number of years. He was a Master Plumber and retired from Georgia Southern University facilities services.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Elizabeth Brannen Davis; his parents, Vernon and Lillian Davis; sister, Shirley King; stepmother, Mary Davis; and stepbrothers James Miller and Martin Miller.
He is survived by his son, Lee A. Davis, Jr. (Jo Davis) of Statesboro, Georgia; a daughter, Donna Lynn Jackson (Bobby Jackson) of Twin City, Georgia; and a brother, John Davis (Shirley Davis) of Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Lee will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jason Cone, Allison Coppage, Amanda Cone, Jeremy Davis and Jordan Davis along with nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service is planned for Sunday, February 7, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Bulloch Memorial Gardens with Reverend Joe Eason officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30-2:30 PM at Deal Funeral Directors, Statesboro, Georgia.
