Lois Drucilla Stokes

Lois Drucilla Stokes , age 35, passed away August 9, 2021 after a brief illness.  Lois was born on February 27, 1986 in Statesboro, Georgia but resided in Reidsville with her daughter and grandmother.

She loved life but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her daughter, sister and sister-in-law. She loved her parents and her grandmother dearly. Talking with her boyfriend on the phone was another joy that Lois did not take for granted. When anyone said, “Let’s go”, Lois was ready and especially loved going to the beach, camping and fishing. She also loved to sing and most recently making TikTok videos with her fur baby, Bubbles.

Helping others and making them smile was why she was put on earth. But her greatest accomplishment in life was being “Mom” to Ryn. Together, they watched TV, played, discovered new music and went on adventures.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Lana “Ryn” Baker of Reidsville; her fur baby, Bubbles; her mother, Vinell Thomas of Reidsville; her father, Thomas Stokes of Brooklet; her sister, Heather Harris (Savannah) of Statesboro; her brother, Randy Adams of Soperton; grandmother, Hazel Bolen of Reidsville; boyfriend, Thomas Farmer; two nieces, Ruby and Dixie; a nephew, Kane; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 13 at Deal Funeral Directors from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
