Louise Vaughan Brown, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024.

Louise was born on September 21, 1939, in Brunswick, Georgia. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1956 and attended Georgia Teacher’s College.

In 1960, Louise married the love of her life, Dr. Ed Brown. They were married for 60 years at the time of Ed’s passing in 2020. Louise was a long-time member of Pittman Park Church and volunteered for many years at Bulloch Memorial Hospital. Louise was a proud supporter of Georgia Southern Football and Basketball and was an original member of the Angel Ladies group who met weekly for lunch and laughter for decades. She was also the Secretary for the Fellowship Sunday School Class at Pittman Park and rarely missed a Wednesday night supper.

Along with her husband, Ed and her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brothers, Sammy and David Donaldson. 

Louise is survived by her children, Mike Brown (Angeles Brown) and Kathy Turner (Tracy Turner); her grandchildren, Bailey, Lindsay and Ashley Turner and Sophie and Jack Brown; her brother, Gary (Beverly) Donaldson and her sister, Vickie Broderick. Louise was a loving person who cared deeply for her family, her church, her friends and her cats. Grandmama will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Pittman Park Church at 1 PM, Thursday, September 5th with services following at 2 PM. Rev. Johnathan Smith will be officiating. 

Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, Mike and Kathy have requested that donations be made to
