Lynda Sue McDowell

Lynda Sue McDowell, age 52, peacefully passed away in the arms of her husband, Randy, on October 22, 2020. Lynda's soul fought so hard to stay with us, but her heart just could not hold on. Lynda was born on November 7, 1967 in McRae, GA and graduated from East Dublin High School. She had lived in Snellville, GA for the last 30 years where she and Randy, her high school sweetheart, raised their three phenomenal boys.

Lynda is survived by her loving husband of 33 wonderful years, Randy Lee McDowell; son, Austin McDowell; son, Ryan McDowell; son, Carson McDowell; father, John Shell; brother, Steve Shell; sister, Selina Sumner.

Lynda was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Thorne.

The McDowell family will greet all family and friends at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens of Snellville, GA on Tuesday October 27th at 1 PM (3594 US-78 E Snellville, GA 30039). The graveside visitation and viewing will be from 11:30 am-1 pm and the services to follow will be held at the same location. Officiating the service will be our longtime pastor, Brother Tommy Jordan.

To protect all of us that will be in close proximity to one another, a mask will be required.

Lynda's favorite color was purple and any flowers in that color would fill her soul.
