Martha Wynelle Murray

Ms. Martha Wynelle Murray , age 72, passed away early Thursday morning at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Regency Southern Care Hospice. She was a native and longtime resident of Bulloch County and graduated in 1967 from Statesboro High School. Martha was employed with Hendrix farms for many years and thoroughly enjoyed her time on the farm. She loved spending time fishing, dancing, and spending time with her family. Martha was preceded in death by her parents. Burney Marsh and Carleen Marsh Hendrix and by her son, John Sheddy Murray, III.

Survivors include her children, Kim (Keith) Carr, Karen (Justin) Hilde, and Kyle Murray, all of Statesboro; grandchildren, Will Carr, Libby Neubauer, Lindsey Pilling, Tyler Childers, Olivia Carr, Cori Hilde, Emma Hilde, and Conley Murray; her brother, Burney (John Tucker) Marsh; her sister, Lynn (Tom) Hendrix;  four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Deal Funeral Directors.

Graveside services and burial will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Jake Futch officiating. The graveside will be streamed using Facebook Live on Deal Funeral Directors page.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hendrix, Kevin Hendrix, Cole Hendrix, Justin Hilde, Keith Carr, and Tyler Childers.
