Ramona (Mona) Ann DiNitto, 66 years young, was called Home on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA after a brief illness. Born February 6, 1954 at Fort McPherson, GA, Mona was raised in Hinesville, GA where she graduated from Bradwell Institute, Class of 1972. She had 32 years of service with the United States Postal Service retiring in 2013. She was an avid gardener, loved animals, and truly loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond James DiNitto.
Surviving are her mother, Marjorie B. DiNitto; her brothers, Vincent (Dana) DiNitto and Paul (Jan) DiNitto, both of Brooklet, GA; her sisters Denise (Teddy) Kelley of Colonels Island, GA, and Natalie (Timothy) Hale of Southern Pines, NC; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Bum Aunt Mona”.
A Memorial Service will be planned at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to your favorite animal shelter.
