Regenna Hice Wankel

 It is with great sadness the family of Regenna Wankel announce her passing on December 26, 2024. After suffering an illness at Savannah Area Hospice in Savannah, Ga. Regenna is originally from Statesboro, Ga where her love for her animals were the forefront of her life. Regenna is preceded in death by her husband, John Wankel of Texas and her beloved sister, Tonya Hice of Statesboro, Ga. She is survived by her parents Richard O. and Patricia Hice of Statesboro, Ga, her brother Richard T. (Debra) of Black Creek, Ga and her sister Trina Brinson from Lakepark, Ga. Regenna has a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly along with her dogs whom had a special place in her heart Hobo and Bean. The family wants to send a special thanks to Savannah Area Hospice for all of love, support and compassion during the transition of Regenna into external life. 

"God saw you getting tired a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, "come with me."

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. 

A golden heart stopped beating your tender hands at rest. God took you home to prove to us he only takes the best"
