Patricia "Pat" Stricklin

May 18, 1940 — July 31, 2022

Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Stricklin of Statesboro, GA passed away on July 31, 2022, while under the compassionate care of Kindred Hospice. Pat was born in Savannah, GA to Waimon and Pearl James Harley on May 18, 1940. She grew up in Savannah where she was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Over her life, Pat developed many skills and was an excellent at anything she attempted. Pat worked for over 21 years at CSX Railroad in Savannah. She also worked in the banking industry as a Mortgage Broker and as a Realtor for Century 21 Realty. And lastly, she was a manager for both the Savannah Morning News and the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Pat was an avid photographer and an honorary member of World  Amateur Photographers. Many of her photos have been showcased in Washington, DC at the World Photographers Association and one of her photographs, shot at Simmons Pond in Bulloch County, was used as a stamp for Ducks Unlimited.

Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Constance Smallwood.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, C. E. Stricklin; her daughter, Susan Holly Canady of Millen; six grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
